Habitat Westside receives matching grant pledge from anonymous benefactors

A couple who are longtime supporters of the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity have agreed to match donations, dollar for dollar, to help the organization build its next two homes.

Habitat Westside Executive Director Ashlee Williams said a couple, who is choosing to remain anonymous, has pledged to provide a dollar for each dollar the public gives the group through March 31.

According to Williams, it takes about $100,000 to build a home and the couple has agreed to match up to an undisclosed portion of that amount.
